Taking a break from recording Fiona said, "This is a totally unique project and a very exciting one at that. In this Year of Homecoming in Scotland, it is important that Gaelic Song takes its rightful place in the story of the emigrants of the Highlands & Islands and this CD tells the stories and experiences of many of those Emigrants. 18th & 19th Century emigrants had no other way of telling their stories other than in song and story and "A Good Suit of Clothes" presents some of those songs in a style which will hopefully appeal to many sections of the musical market, including those more acquaint with classical or semi-classical instrumentation.
